You seem to have 4.4.3 installed on the E: drive which should not be a problem. Can you try running the portable .zip package from here to see if that works: https://download.kde.org/stable/krita/4.4.3/krita-x64-4.4.3.zip Have you recently had a Windows update? Can you also try installing it on the C: drive to see if that works. Krita doesn't need to access the internet as part of its normal operation so enabling it in the firewall shouldn't be needed. Hi, since Windows seemed to have created crash dumps, can you try to find the crash entry from the Windows Event Log? 1. Type "event" into the start menu and the "Event Viewer" should appear in the search results. Launch it. 2. On the left, expand "Windows Logs" and select "Applications". 3. Find the newest "Application Error" entry for `krita.exe`. 4. Provide us with the information shown in the "General" and "Details" tabs (you can make screenshots of them or copy the text). If you can manage to upload one of the dump files, it might help too. Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days. Created attachment 139103 [details] Krita Log/ Dump files. SUMMARY Hi, so I've been using Krita for quite a while and never had a problem until now. When I try to open Krita (4.4.3) it does nothing. Task Manager doesn't show the program as running. I've tried enabling in the firewall as well as antivirus. I've tried updating the graphics card. I tried reverting to an older version(4.4.1) but it didn't help. I have then tried to find the krita.log file in %LocalAppData% (Windows 10). There is no crash report. However, the log doesn't even have the dates in which I have tried to open it. It doesn't register those sessions, so I cannot find the crash reports and I don't know what's the problem. I have, however, seen crash dump files that occur when those sessions fail. I will attach a picture. I changed nothing in terms of configuration on the PC, so I find it weird for it to just stop working. Thank you for listening! I hope you will be able to find what's wrong. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Trying to open Krita 4.4.3 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Nothing happens. EXPECTED RESULT Opening of the program SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I will attach a picture of the krita.log the last time it worked and of the dump files.
