In the digiKam settings for the metadata, the writing of geolocation information like other metadata must be activated. This setting is relatively new in digiKam. Maik Settings Metadata Geolocation data is checked. Well, the metdata will then be written for sure. Download DebugView and post the output as described here for Windows: https://www.digikam.org/contribute/ Don't forget to set the debug environment variable. Maik What do you mean by step 3 paste coordinates, text coordinates? Are the coordinates valid? You know that you can drag and drop images from the image list onto the map? Maik I went into the Linux version again and I did not have the Settings Metdata Geolocation data checked. But all of the other boxes in tath area except Face Tags was checked. I checked the Geolocation box and tested and it worked fine. then I went back to the Windows machine and checked all the samed settings boxes. Now it works fine. So, maybe problem solved. (In reply to Maik Qualmann from comment #4) > What do you mean by step 3 paste coordinates, text coordinates? Are the > coordinates valid? Under Item Edit Geolocation - I selected one with the proper coordinates and right clicked to copy the coordinates. Then I selected the other picture and right clicked on it and pasted the coordinates. |
