SUMMARY

The new kickoff launcher adds favorites to their own top level menu. The problem with this is that if you open kicker at the bottom left of screen, then the natural mouse pointer movement from here to a favorite will pass over other menu entries first. This selects whatever menu item was in the path and removes the favorites from view. The favorites are now the hardest icons to reach, because one has to be extremely careful to not move the mouse pointer over another menu item, may of which are in the most direct mouse path.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open kicker.
2. Move mouse pointer towards a favorite icon.

OBSERVED RESULT
The most direct path often crosses another top-level menu, removing the very favorites you're trying to reach from view, while bringing its icons into focus

EXPECTED RESULT
Don't know what the right solution is, but this behavior could do with a rethink.
