SUMMARY

Copy and paste operations on  4.4.3 of Krita on Android fail to paste (or possibly fail to copy) (a) the content of a paint layer and (b) layers (Layer > Copy Layer). It's possible other copy and paste operations elsewhere are affected. Might have to do with the way android manages the clipboard.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select a paint layer with content
2. Choose a selection tool and select a region
3. Edit > Copy
4. Choose or create a new paint layer
5. Edit > Paste

1. Select a paint layer with content
2. Layer > Copy Layer
3. (optional) Switch to a different krita document
4. Layer > Paste Layer

OBSERVED RESULT

copied region or layer not pasted.

EXPECTED RESULT

the duplication of pixels that were recently copied or cut from a paint layer source

I know this but was reported before but I still can't copy or past in version 4.4.3, even though the bug was "fixed" before

Hello,

Thank you for reporting this bug, I had heard about this a while back but couldn't find a way to reproduce this. Even now I can't for some reason, could you please attach System Info (Help -> Show System Information for Bug Reports)?

It would also help if you could mention the model of this device.

Here the system information.

I'm using the samsung galaxy tab s3 t820 with Android 8.0.

I noticed the Display Information of the Krita system information isn't quit right, might be nothing.

I can confirm that it works on the samsung SAMSUNG Galaxy Tab S7 with android 11.
Maybe its about the Android Version or the less Ram on the S3?

I just got the master branch compiled and tested it on my samsung galaxy tab s3 t820 and it works.
I can now copy and paste layers and also cut and past them.
