Sorry, can't find the 2nd screenshot, but generally processes were the same. Operating System: Kubuntu 21.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.80.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.11.0-17-generic OS Type: 64-bit Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i5-8250U CPU @ 1.60GHz Memory: 7,6 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 620 We've had some other reports of this, and it's already fixed in Plasma 5.22. If you can still reproduce the issue after upgrading to that Plasma version once your distro offers it, please file individual bug reports for each process that is exhibiting high CPU usage. Thanks! Thanks! Is this only with Wayland? I wonder if Ubuntu can backport it before October this year. To my knowledge it was fixed on X11 as well. |
Created attachment 138814 [details] System monitor I have just installed today Kubuntu 21.04 and if i logout and login again i have high CPU usage from several processes. Till now it happened twice in a matter of hour and a half. When the issue appeared i took a screenshot and restarted. Upon login usage was normal - between 3 and 10 percent of CPU. When i logged out and then login again CPU started consistently to be at 100%. I am attaching two screenshots from the first and from the 2nd (last time this happened). I would be happy if you give instructions how to pinpoint/trace the issue.
