Still an issue. 1. Open 'Virtual Desktops' KCM 2. set 2 or more virtual desktops 3. check 'Show on screen display when switching' and 'Show desktop layout indicators' options 4. apply the settings 5. re-login 6. switch virtual desktop by clicking on Pager widget in Plasma panel: no animation (Slide, in my case) occurs 7. switch virtual desktop again: now we see the animation as expected Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.80 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Graphics Platform: Wayland Can't reproduce Created attachment 149159 [details]

In the attached video is not clear to me if Fade effect is not working or it is shorter when triggered for the first time.r
Slide effect works.
Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition
KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.95.0
Qt Version: 5.15.4
Graphics Platform: Wayland

Looks like it is working. You can also make animation speed slower in system settings to make it more clear.
