Sentry Crash Report:

Description LinuxRev 2021-05-20 08:42:48 UTC
SUMMARY
File listing does not automatically update itself. One needs to click the reload button to refresh.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Save any file, eg. PDF, from any application, eg. Firefox, to some folder inside Krusader.
2. Copy or move this file from one panel to another folder in the other panel.

OBSERVED RESULT
1. File will not be visible after saving, unless the 'Reload' button is clicked.
2. File, if made visible, will not disappear after being moved to anonther folder.
3. File will not appear in folder to which it is copied or moved, unless the 'Reload' button is clicked.

EXPECTED RESULT
Just what Krusader used to do: automatically make files (in)visible after being saved, copied or moved.

Additionally to this report:
The file list us updated instantly when I select, copy or move using the keyboard. It does not work when I select using the mouse.

Yet another comment:

Even using the keyboard to select, copy or move files does not always let file lists automatically being updated. I notice a similar problem with DoubleCommander, but in Dolphin all works smooth & flawless. So, I guess something has changed in KD/Plasma which has not been picked up by Krusader's developers team?
Comment 3 LinuxRev 2021-07-04 14:37:27 UTC
Now also Dolphin shows similar problems. Perhaps this is more of a KDE/Plasma issue tha a Krusader bug?

BRW, anyone still reading these bug reports?

Now also Dolphin has similar problems. Perhaps this is more of a KDE/Plasma issue than a Krusader bug?

BTW, anyone still reading these bug reports?
Comment 5 LinuxRev 2021-07-13 08:26:52 UTC
Is anyone reading this anyway?

That could be a cause. In my case, it doesn't happen using Kubuntu 20.04 and the git version of Krusader.

It's still happening to you after having updated the operating system?
Comment 7 LinuxRev 2021-08-02 16:35:22 UTC
It's still happening, but unpredictably. Sometimes using F5/F6 function key does work. My system is always up to date. Currently:
Krusader 2.7.2 on Kubuntu 20.04
Plasma 5.18.5
KDE Frameworks 5.68.0
Qt 5.12.8
Kernel 5.8.0-63-generic

CPU Intel Core i5-11400 2.6GHz
8GB DDR4-2666
MSI GT 710 2GD3H LP

I'll follow the M$ rule of thumb: 'we bear with you'... ;-)

Ahum... Yesterday I removed a few packages and installed the latest kernel update. And lo and behold! everything is working fine again. Possibly I messed up things between dbus and ibus? Anyway, sorry for bothering the Krusader Team. But thanks for answering.

Don't worry :-)
