SUMMARY
After adding a "Mix Clip" effect, then try to click on the "Mixing" effect, the app closes suddenly.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a Project (720x1280 9:16 30fps)
2. Import a folder with Clips and Images (contains MP4 with different fps and resolution)
3. Drag and drop two clips in the (both of them with the same resolution, but of 60fps)
4. Shorten both clips by sliding down the upper limit of the first clip by 15 frames
5. Same for the second one, but sliding up its lower limit
6. Select the first clip, or the second one, and press "u" key
7. Click on the highlighted effect showed after press "u" key

OBSERVED RESULT
The app closes

EXPECTED RESULT
Select the effect without close the app

I cannot reporduce the crash following your steps.

Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 21.04.0 to see if there are any packaging issues https://download.kde.org/stable/kdenlive/21.04/linux/

Hey guy, it solved the problem. Using that image, the app didn't crash after performed the same steps.
