Description Evren 2021-05-08 01:48:10 UTC
SUMMARY
When i need a text file with ASCII encoding, i click menu
Tools -> Encoding
but i could not find how to do, thought there is another option "Byte Order Mark" can be unchecked to imitate ASCII, what i really need is pure ASCII with extended chars (0-255).

OBSERVED RESULT
ASCII could not be found in Encodings list.

EXPECTED RESULT
ASCII should be first menu entry in Encodings menu, should easily be seen.
I think UTF-8 also should be second entry in that menu, instead of searching it on the bottomish lines of that menu, because it is the most widespread standard used in the world.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Applies to all OSes

Sorry, we will not alter that. The encoding list has some grouping and to be honest plain ascii is no longer that important to reserve that spot.
