the key phrase in the error message is "Please consult the Knowledge Base to find out how to run mysqld as root!" anyway, this wouldn't be a korganizer but; rather something for Akonadi. if you still want to pursue this I suggest reopening as an Akonadi issue; although this is really something for an administrator to handle. I don't Akonadi will override settings to enable root db access. |
SUMMARY Hi, I have installed Korganizer onto a fresh Lubuntu 20.04.2 LTS install via 'Discover' and the command line and the application will open, freeze and close. when launching Korganizer from the command line using sudo, the application opens and I'm presented with the following message: 'The Akonadi personal information management system is not operational.' Thank in advance for your help! STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. To install Korganizer, I typed in the terminal: 'sudo apt install korganizer' 2. In command line, I typed to launch Korganizer: 'sudo Korganizer' OBSERVED RESULT The application opens and I am presented with the following message: 'The Akonadi personal information management system is not operational.'
