SUMMARY
The Shift key modifier, when used for creating or editing an Assistant Tool line, gives snapping to horizontal or vertical.

When used with the Line Tool, the Shift key modifier gives snapping to 15 degree increments.

It would be useful if the Shift key modifier gave Assistant Tool line snapping to 15 degree increments.
