I was trying to get files off my phone. KDE Connect didn't work, so I plugged it in over USB, made it available for file transfer, clicked the Mount icon in the device notifier, and opened Dolphin. I was able to browse my phone's files! Then I selected three images in Dolphin. I wanted to copy them but the context menu didn't have this, then I clicked Dolphin's [Split] button and nothing happened and then about 20 seconds of inactivity later... crash.

I retried and repeated the steps up to selecting images, but this time I first split Dolphin. I was able to drag the files from Android to a local folder, and that worked fine.

Trying to reproduce the failure, I once again selected the images and right-clicked to bring up the context menu. I realize that takes a loonngg time, (over a minute), during which Dolphin is largely unresponsive. Finally I got a context menu but Dolphin thought I was trying to delete the files; on another attempt it opened an unrelated pdf, but neither time crashed. So maybe the crash happened because the context menu is so sluggish to open that Dolphin falls behind on input and/or attempts unrelated actions in delayed inputs. This is in my Android Download folder which has about 100 files in it.

I tried selecting about 16 files in Android Download folder over mtp in Dolphin and it seemed to work. But again when I right-clicked the context menu didn't appear and when I closed Dolphin Plasma notified that the window was taking a long time, I chose wait, and then Dolphin crashed again.

Can't reproduce on Plasma 6.

Have you been able to reproduce this on newer version of Dolphin? Please install debug symbols to Dolphin, KIO and KIO-Extras and send a backtrace if it still crashes. Thank you!
