I configure KDE like a Mac with the application menu bar across the top and a flexi-size kicker (size set to 1 expand as neccesary) center-left. I also use the external taskbar on the bottom.

When I have the kicker floating on the left and the external taskbar on the bottom the taskbar sometimes decides to shift to the right the width of the kicker ala the behavior of kde2. moveing the taskbar somewhere else then back to the bottom restores it's position full-length across the bottom of the screen.

So either the taskbars never supposed to be full length with a kicker on the side (I hope thats not still the case)  or it occasionally just decides to 'move out of the way' on it's own.

A minor bug but an annoyance still.  I love KDE3 by the way. I have tried every release of KDE before but always went back to blackbox or windowmaker.  With KDE3 even though it moves at the speed of OS/X ;) UNIX has a full featured desktop environment suitable for full time use without ever seeing the system underneath or hacking 'workarounds' Thanks for the great work all KDE hackers!!!
