Why to install digiKam on a NAS ? It's a server, not a client computer... Synology has Linux as System. With a client on Windows, all traffic for changing Database and picture metadat are transferred over the lan. And that results in a poor performance. Also, if the system is isntalled directly on the nas, i can use it as web program from any device. Please understand me right (instead of my bad english :- ). Digikam is the best produkt to manage photos i found in the last years. But i try to find the best solution for me. And Synology has many packkages working as client *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 433929 *** |
