Hello,
Some of the meta fields are linked for a specific user. For instance : 
- if I've got a Canon camera, the model version is always the same for me
- if a picture is taken in Plougastel-Daoulas, the country is very likely FRA..
- if I live in the 12th Mickey Avenue, this address might appear quite often if I use digiKam for a familial use

So it would be kind to add to those fields a drop-down box using the databases values.

Because I'm not only lazy but also a bit hurry, I would like to know if :
1- it's possible to made a mass update of the database with the proper values ?
2- when I restart digiKam after the update, the new values are copied in the image files ?

I don't know where you are in digiKam and want to have automation. Maybe post a screenshot?

Hi,
In the attached file you'll find two screen captures illustrating my problem (obviously it's probably not limited to thoses cases) : 
- one illustrate the link, for a peculiar user, between the supplier, the model and the type of a capture device
- the second Shows the link between the town, the state and the country
For those two examples, it's not useful to have a pre existing list but to establish it with the datas entered by the user
