Do you mean that if you don't set multiple languages dolphin is fully translated? Please note that you don't need to set the language in systemsettings if you want to use the system language. Please make sure you also have Qt translations installed (depending on the packaging, they may be shipped as qt5-qttranslations, or qttranslations5-l10n, or something else). Make also sure your distribution provides the translations of all other libraries required. I've just tried on two systems (current Debian testing, current Fedora 33) with: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8 dolphin and dolphin is fully translated. Thanks for your reply. In my system settings and in the settings, the dolphin installed the Russian language and also I have a package: pacman -Q qt5-translations qt5-translations 5.15.2-1 After your answer, I began to think that the problem is in some not installed packages. In my system in many KDE applications, half in Russian, half in English. I put my system manually and 5.18 everything was fine, the problem appeared after the update by 5.20 In general, I think the problem is solved. In the repository of Manjaro faulty plasma (plasma-desktop-primex) What did you do: pacman -Rdd karchive-git kauth-git kbookmarks-git kcmutils-git kcodecs-git kcompletion-git kconfig-git kconfigwidgets-git kcontacts-git kcoreaddons-git kcrash-git kdbusaddons-git kdeclarative-git kglobalaccel-git kguiaddons-git ki18n-git kiconthemes-git kio-git kirigami2-git kitemviews-git kjobwidgets-git knotifications-git kpackage-git kpeople-git kpeoplevcard-git kservice-git ktextwidgets-git kwallet-git kwayland-git kwidgetsaddons-git kwindowsystem-git kxmlgui-git plas pacman -Sy karchive kauth kbookmarks kcmutils kcodecs kcompletion kconfig kconfigwidgets kcontacts kcoreaddons kcrash kdbusaddons kdeclarative kglobalaccel kguiaddons ki18n kiconthemes kio kirigami2 kitemviews kjobwidgets knotifications kpackage kpeople kpeoplevcard kservice ktextwidgets kwallet kwayland kwidgetsaddons kwindowsystem kxmlgui As a result, the translation earned. I apologize for concern pacman -Rdd karchive-git kauth-git kbookmarks-git kcmutils-git kcodecs-git kcompletion-git kconfig-git kconfigwidgets-git kcontacts-git kcoreaddons-git kcrash-git kdbusaddons-git kdeclarative-git kglobalaccel-git kguiaddons-git ki18n-git kiconthemes-git kio-git kirigami2-git kitemviews-git kjobwidgets-git knotifications-git kpackage-git kpeople-git kpeoplevcard-git kservice-git ktextwidgets-git kwallet-git kwayland-git kwidgetsaddons-git kwindowsystem-git kxmlgui-git pacman -Sy karchive kauth kbookmarks kcmutils kcodecs kcompletion kconfig kconfigwidgets kcontacts kcoreaddons kcrash kdbusaddons kdeclarative kglobalaccel kguiaddons ki18n kiconthemes kio kirigami2 kitemviews kjobwidgets knotifications kpackage kpeople kpeoplevcard kservice ktextwidgets kwallet kwayland kwidgetsaddons kwindowsystem kxmlgui Thanks for the investigation. It seems you were using packages whose code come from git, not from the tarballs, and if packagers don't configure their packaging scripts properly, packaging git code won't contain translations. The packages you have installed now probably tracks the released tarballs, which include the messages. In any case this was a packaging (distribution, so downstream) issue. |
