I've been unable to pin it for very long so it's not specific to 4,4,3 :
When several tabs are open if you close an inactive tab, Krita crashes. Sadly I can't get it to crash consistently. I've been doing a 4 crash streak then it stopped to crash...

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open 2 documents
2. close the inactive one
3. you can try with more documents but 2 are enough

OBSERVED RESULT
Krita crashes instantly

EXPECTED RESULT
Krita makes me a sandwich before crashing

macOS: big sur

I'm very happy I finally could reproduce this one. Yet I don't get it every time... It has been haunting me for more than a year.

It was already reported. However it would still be good if you could get a crashlog...

Is there a resource to know how to generate crash logs?

Yes, you need to use lldb. I'm not sure but you might need to install something first. I don't know Macs too much, please come to IRC if you get any trouble with that. Full instruction: https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_manual/sharing_krita_logs.html#mac
