kde Panel
Eek. Does resizing the panel magically fix things? In ksysguard is plasmashell using a sane amount of CPU? Can you attach gammaray, confirm if the preview in "Quick Scenes" looks correct after changing to show the panel? (In reply to David Edmundson from comment #3) > Does resizing the panel magically fix things? I did not try to do it. Indeed since the report I have not met the situation. As soon as it happened I will answer this question. > In ksysguard is plasmashell using a sane amount of CPU? No, there was no significant increase of the CPU usage. > > Can you attach gammaray, confirm if the preview in "Quick Scenes" looks > correct after changing to show the panel? I have never used the gammaray. What does mean "changing to show the panel"? Created attachment 137152 [details] attachment-19442-0.html I'm all good I figured it out thanks though On Mon, Mar 29, 2021, 6:41 AM Dmitri Koulikoff <bugzilla_noreply@kde.org> wrote: > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=434756 > > --- Comment #4 from Dmitri Koulikoff <kde@mitrah.ru> --- > (In reply to David Edmundson from comment #3) > > Does resizing the panel magically fix things? > > I did not try to do it. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! I did not try resizing the panel. Indeed since the report I have not met the situation. Since I restart KDE quite oft. But I have met other situation. When opening the session, my typing is not represented on the screen. And the screen does not react on mouse clicks. Though, the correct typing of the password opened the session. I think those problems are related. That seems different, actually. If you're able to reproduce it, can you please file a separate bug report? Thanks! (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #8) > That seems different, actually. If you're able to reproduce it, can you > please file a separate bug report? Thanks! I have met it only once. But it seems to have the same reason. Let us see… But the original problem with the not updating is not fixed. (In reply to Dmitri Koulikoff from comment #9) > But the original problem with the not updating is not fixed. But you said, "Indeed since the report I have not met the situation. Since I restart KDE quite oft." Which one is it? Has it happened again or no? Since I > restart KDE quite oft." > > Which one is it? Has it happened again or no? I have noticed that the panel does not update the state. For example, after I have read all mails in kmail, the icon shows that there are unread mails until I close the application. Then it shows that there is no unread mails (the icon). But I did not fixed it in video. That sounds like a bug in KMail. If you keep KMail open and restart plasma with `plasmashell --replace`, does the unread count update correctly?
