Ccan you please try with the latest appimage and see if you can reproduce? The error occured with the latest appimage, to my knowledge at least. What kind of file is it? Is it in another drive? Did you move/rename it after closing Kdenlive? The file concerned had not been moved or edited in any way. Strange thing is that when I tried to manually locate it it didn't appear in the list of files while the file manager (dolphin) showed it and also from the command line 'ls' it was clearly there. The previous time I had worked on the project was closed quite normally. I just noticed something that may clear the problem but add to the confusion. The name of the file was given by a professional film digitizing enterprise and contains an umlaut, i.e. a specific German character. However, what puzzles me is that I had used it before for several weeks, possibly months. Perhaps that is giving you a clue.
