When I try to assign Meta+A to the touchpad applet when the audio applet already has that shortcut, I see a shortcut conflict dialog that prompts me to re-assign one of them. Did you see that? I think I saw the conflict dialog, I don't remember well though. I was trying to find the exact steps to reproduce a problem with keyboard shortcut (reported as bug 434721) by repeatedly assigning shortcuts to several applets and this Plasma crash occured just once.
