Which partition table did you use GPT or MBR? Might it be that windows only recognizes MBR devices? That said, I don't have Windows, so I wouldn't be able to test it. Yeah, how did you format it? Hi, delete (not shift-del) partition table : msdos filesystem : fat32 ps the window search for devices appears before authentification It might also be useful to have output of sudo sfdisk /dev/sdb -l (assuming that sdb is your usb device node that your are formatting) output: stijn@stijn-Dell:~$ sudo sfdisk /dev/sdb -l [sudo] wachtwoord voor stijn: Schijf /dev/sdb: 977,48 MiB, 1024966656 bytes, 2001888 sectoren Disk model: Cruzer Mini Eenheid: sectoren van 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sectorgrootte (logisch/fysiek): 512 bytes / 512 bytes In-/uitvoergrootte (minimaal/optimaal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Schijflabeltype: dos Schijf-ID: 0x0ea55a3c Apparaat Op.
