SUMMARY
I cannot set my own SDDM (Log-in Screen) - no matter what I do, the original one stays there (KDE Neon 5.21

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. set a new SDDM (even delete the original one)
2. hit apply
3. log out/restart

OBSERVED RESULT
the original log-in screen stays, with the original background. no matter what I do, I cannot change it.

A few questions:

1. Are you trying to apply a new theme, or a new background to your existing theme?
2. When you click "Apply" is there any error message, or does it fail silently?
