SUMMARY I have changed from Kubuntu 20.02 to KDE Neon 5.21.2. Font Manager installs fonts in this case .ttf but apllications such as Inkscape, Gimp, Libre Office doesn't have them available for use.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install Kde Neon 5.21.2 from Kde.
2. Download apps. from Discover.
3. Install fonts to Font Manager.
4. Open apps such as Inkscape, Gimp, Libre Office

OBSERVED RESULT Apps. don't see installed fonts and use default font for that app.


EXPECTED RESULT Open Inkscape and the program use the fonts installed to Font Manager.

Does it work if you restart the computer after installing a font? Not saying that this would be a good thing, of course, but it could help us narrow down the bug.

No, after restarting the computer the problem still exsists (if you mean shutting the computer off and tuning it back on). I had done that from the beginning thinking it would be needed to make the change stick, but to no avail. I have even installed other fonts since then, but non of them have worked. Let me know if you if you need more information. I am thinking of going back to Kubuntu 20.02 for the time being because there seems to be a lot of quarks with Neon 5.21.2 especially with Inkscape but smaller ones too like System Settings only closing from the close button at the bottom of the app. and not from the close button on the Window Decoration.

Thank you. It is an honor to squash bugs with Nate Graham. I would do it more but I'm reluctant to do so because I don't know much. On another note could you please lead me to documentation or something that will show me how to upload a Global or Plasma Theme to KDE Store/Discover. I can't find anything.

I am not aware of the documentation for uploading things to store.kde.org, sorry. It's not something I have a lot of contact with.
