Missing tags in pop-up list - window extension beyond taskbar

SUMMARY
Strange window behavior when working with dozens of tags. Tags are shown in columns but several tags are missing and not clickable.
Effective data searching with combinations of multiple tags not possible.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Assign so many tags to one or multiple files that a column display is shown.
2. Check pop-up list in dolphin search mode (add keyword)
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Tags are missed in list, pop-up list extension beyond taskbar.
EXPECTED RESULT
All tags are visible and clickable, pop-up list ends at the top of the taskbar.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

That's a lot of tags.
Comment 2 Stefan Brüns 2021-03-12 21:30:54 UTC
You can always specify tags in the search bar:
'foo tags:"some tag" tags:other'

This has regressed. I am running 23.08.3 on Manjaro, and I don't even have multi-columns (as per png provided above), just one column, that gets cut off. As such most of the tags are not available in dolphin dropdown.

In addition, did you know you can add tags such as "category/subtag". You can also go to "All Tags" in dolphin and drag and drop stuff around.
Subtags in categories like this do not show up in the dolphin list at all. Instead, only the "category" is listed.

There are 2 workarounds:
- in dolphin go to search, by content, specify tag:tag1 tag:tag2 - Stefan Brüns mentioned this, but the key is the by "content" search
- use baloosearch //?query=tag:tag1 tag:tag2 - returns paths
