(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package:           khtml
Version:           KDE 3.0.1
Severity:          wishlist
Installed from:    Compiled From Sources
Compiler:          Not Specified
OS:                Other
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

I wish khtml would use the encoding specified by xml documents documents like http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/Overview.htm8

The top of the document contains
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
but unless I'm mistaken the only encoding honored is the one specified in the HTTP Content-Type header and processing instructions are ignored completely.

Thanks
