Funny pictures are cool, but I need the simple clock I have used for decades in kde4.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to Settings -> Workspace behaviour -> Screen Locking
2. Push at Appearance: configure

OBSERVED RESULT

There is not option to configure the clock

EXPECTED RESULT

There must be the option to show the clock

Those are different things. There is indeed no option to *configure* the clock, but there is an option to *show* the clock. It's right there are the top of the page.

Can you clarify what it is that you're asking for?

Clock screen lock

Clock as screen lock

No, I mean the real old clock as on the picture.
The option to *show* the clock works.

Ah, so you want the entire lock screen background to be a clock. I see, thanks.

The lock screen accepts wallpaper plugins, so you or somebody else could create a wallpaper plugin that displays a giant clock and post it to store.kde.org, and then you could download it and use that on the lock screen to have what you want.

This is the intended method for users to customize their lock screen. There are already a lot of nice wallpaper plugins available there.

Thank you. I have one digital clock downloaded and installed.
Though it would be great if one of the KDE team will reimplement the clock from kde4 as the wallpaper.
Indeed among all screensavers kde4 hat, the clock was the only useful. ;-)

That's a neat idea! However the Plasma team is pretty busy with improving the default experience these days and prefers to leave creation of optional content to users. Maybe you could tweak the one you have to be more like the old one, and then upload it so others could benefit!
