I looked in the application launcher settings as well as in the system settings, where I already have transparency turned off (effects), I see nowhere else to turn off transparency specifically for the app launcher, and since I have the only transparency option there is turned off already, then it's obviously not doing it either. Foreground vs background is hard to understand? When I use the new application menu it's in the foreground and transparent, making it hard to read, with any window with lots of text showing through it from the background. I am not a newb, and been using KDE for nearly 7 years, there is no setting where I should expect it, and I looked in more unlikely locations too, there is nowhere to turn off transparency for the application launcher, and you don't need a screen shot, just set your desktop to breeze dark load up a bright wallpaper and see for yourself. oh, I see, sorry for misunderstanding hopefully https://invent.kde.org/frameworks/plasma-framework/-/merge_requests/119 can be modified to allow to always disable opacity (unfortunately would only be fixed in breeze though), alternatively you can find a few opaque themes in the store Fixed by https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-desktop/-/commit/6fb37dc0260c298bc35ec5e39399aa1f31693e79 in Plasma 5.22 (In reply to Mikel Johnson from comment #4) > Fixed by > https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-desktop/-/commit/ > 6fb37dc0260c298bc35ec5e39399aa1f31693e79 in Plasma 5.22 Groovethonish!!! Thanks to all who worked on it! KDE and Plasma rocks! |
