Which digiKam version are you using exactly? AppImage? Here with a digiKam version whose internal browser is compiled with QWebEngine, the login page looks correct. Maik Created attachment 135930 [details] attachment-20720-0.html I installed version 7.1.0 from Ubuntu's Software app. On the information page for DigiKam in the software app, it said the source is Snapcraft.io. I don't know how to compile things with QWebEngine -- will I still be able to use DigiKam? ________________________________ From: Maik Qualmann <bugzilla_noreply@kde.org> Sent: Friday, February 19, 2021 12:22 AM To: tallytvguy@hotmail.com <tallytvguy@hotmail.com> Subject: [digikam] [Bug 433219] Can't sign into my Microsoft account in order to access OneDrive https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=433219 Maik Qualmann <metzpinguin@gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |metzpinguin@gmail.com --- Comment #1 from Maik Qualmann <metzpinguin@gmail.com> --- Which digiKam version are you using exactly? AppImage? Here with a digiKam version whose internal browser is compiled with QWebEngine, the login page looks correct. Maik -- You are receiving this mail because: You reported the bug. I think it's an Ubuntu package problem. Use the AppImage that we provide. You only need to make the AppImage executable and you can start it, it contains all the necessary components. The Ondrive Tool works with the AppImage without any problems. https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Maik Created attachment 136045 [details] attachment-27299-0.html Thanks - I don't know that I've worked with an AppImage. How do you make it executable, is that done through the terminal window -- can I easily look that up on the internet? Also, once I've launched the AppImage version, what happens to my current version? Does it retain any tags and settings I've made? (I haven't gotten too far into using the current version but I'd like to know what to expect.) Thanks, Gil ________________________________ From: Maik Qualmann <bugzilla_noreply@kde.org> Sent: Saturday, February 20, 2021 4:52 AM To: tallytvguy@hotmail.com <tallytvguy@hotmail.com> Subject: [digikam] [Bug 433219] Can't sign into my Microsoft account in order to access OneDrive https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=433219 --- Comment #3 from Maik Qualmann <metzpinguin@gmail.com> --- I think it's an Ubuntu package problem. Use the AppImage that we provide. You only need to make the AppImage executable and you can start it, it contains all the necessary components. The Ondrive Tool works with the AppImage without any problems. https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Maik -- You are receiving this mail because: You reported the bug. *** Bug 446750 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** @Gilbert > I don't know that I've worked with an AppImage. How do you make it executable, is that done through the terminal window -- can I easily look that up on the internet? It's explained in the online documentation: https://docs.digikam.org/en/getting_started/installation.html#digikam-on-linux > Also, once I've launched the AppImage version, what happens to my current version? Does it retain any tags and settings I've made? (I haven't gotten too far into using the current version but I'd like to know what to expect.) AppImage do not depend of the native version and AppImage do not install files on your system. Same Settings will be used than the native, same database, etc. Flatpak or Snap bundle are chrooted too much and in fact unusable as well. Plenty of applications drop this kind of bundle now, because users needs to set a puzzle to open the doors on the system for the application. It's too much complicated. We (digiKam team) do not support this kind of bundle, but AppImage. AppImage is a container, mounted at run time as read only ISO9660 file system (CD/DVD/BlueRay). it includes all the dependencies to run the application. It's simple and easy to use. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AppImage So now the most important question: digiKam 8.0.0 is out. This entry still valid with this release ? Best regards Gilles Caulier Gilles Caulier @Gilbert, What's about this file using current 8.2.0 AppImage Linux bundle ? It's reproducible ? https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier (In reply to caulier.gilles from comment #7) > @Gilbert, > > What's about this file using current 8.2.0 AppImage Linux bundle ? Created attachment 135884 [details] Dialog box for signing into my Microsoft account SUMMARY When I tried to export to OneDrive, the dialog box for signing into OneDrive didn't load properly, as a result, I got a box which is supposed to be the place to sign into the Microsoft account, but the box didn't populate with a background or any text -- it's just a box with a couple of "slots" where I guess I would put in my email address and password, (there's no text saying what to do at all). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open a photo in DigiKam. 2. Click on the Export Tab 3. Choose OneDrive OBSERVED RESULT An interface for signing-in to my Microsoft account that didn't work. EXPECTED RESULT Being able to sign-in to my Microsoft account, the export photos to OneDrive.
