What's a OMV Server exactly ? It use a Mysql or Mariadb database internally ? Which version of the database engine is used ? Gilles Caulier A network drive must also be added as a network drive type in the digikam collection settings so that digiKam knows that it is not always available and cleans up the database. Maik @Gilles: OMV is a Server-Software running on a Raspi 4. https://www.openmediavault.org/ It provides me a cheap TimeMachine Volume, a DLNA Player for ripped CDs an now a Network Volume for my Pictures. @Maik: I will test that. thx for your Tips Ette Ah great. The TimeMachine feature is very interesting. I'm a big fan of PI computers. Gilles Caulier Hi there, when loosing connection to my networkDrive, some funny things happened in digikam. Preview Pictures re empty, sometimes it seems that the database is empty, the faces are gone. Is there a way to do a warning if the connection to the Network Volume fails like the external USB-Drive? This will prevent al lot of stress! THX Ette Maik, You don't implemented a warning wit remote database connection closed recently ? Ette, digiKam 8.0.0 is out. This entry still valid with this release ? Best regards Gilles Caulier @Ette, digikam 8.2.0 pre-release have been rebuilt using last Qt 5.15.11 + KDE 5.110 frameworks. Installer is available at usual place : https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Can reproduce the problem with this version? Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier @Ette Please try the new 8.5.0 pre-release PKG installer for MacOS Silicon (arm64) available here: https://files.kde.org/digikam/ Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier |
