An action I do often is scrolling to the top, usually to use a recent/new file, and what I end up doing is just using my mouse's scrollwheel, which can take a couple of seconds to complete sometimes. 

I just looked in the toolbar's options to see if there was an item to Go To Top or similar, but found none. Maybe it might be a good idea to add these? Go To Top, Go To Bottom.

A lot of mobile apps implement this in the form of a floating button in the view itself. It might make sense to consider that here too. If it's small enough, it might not be very obtrusive. We could do it for scrolling to the bottom, too.
