I've periodically experienced the same issue, and unplugging it and plugging it back in is a workaround. Yeah, I do that also. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 424273 *** |
Created attachment 135148 [details] GNOME popup SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE OBSERVED RESULT If a headphone is connected, sometimes the audio doesn't play, making necessary to re-plug the headphone. EXPECTED RESULT Audio playing. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.20 KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Sometime ago, I saw this issue in Reddit and a KDE dev said it was a limitation of PulseAudio, something like that. If this is correct, then implementing a popup asking "which device you connected?" would be a solution. GNOME uses this, I attached a screenshot showing this feature.
