SUMMARY
Recent (2021) changes broke thumbnails for a lot of jpegs (and other) photos. They are missing in Dolphin and I can't distinguish between them (can't figure them out just by the name).


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Dolphin
2. Go to Pictures
3. Look

OBSERVED RESULT:
No thumbnails for a lot of jpeg photos.


EXPECTED RESULT:
Revert changes/Fix.

Which version are you running of Dolphin?

What Plasma/KDE Frameworks version do you have? You can find this info in Kinfocenter.

Thre recent changes messed up Dolphin (removal of jpegs intenal scan of thumbs, but its Ok when it speeds up display, but there's a downside: jpegs aren't displayed beyond 3MB, and there is a hidden settings (week discovery of the settings) to fix it.
