This was fixed already in Plasma 5.20. (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #1) > This was fixed already in Plasma 5.20. No it isn't. I'm on 5.21.4 and it happens all the time. Hmm, that's a shame. Unfortunately the version of Plasma that you're using is a bit old at this point; 5.21 is no longer supported, 5.23 is the latest supported version, and 5.24 is going to be released in less than two weeks. So I'm afraid will not be able to investigate the issue with your Plasma 5.21 setup. If you can still reproduce the issue with Plasma 5.23 or 5.24, could you open a new bug report for it? Thanks! |
Created attachment 134824 [details] Application menu search box SUMMARY -Under Kubuntu 20.10, typing text in the search box of the widget "application menu" does not display (and do not search) text. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. switch to "Application Menu widget" (instead of Application launcher widget) 2. Click on KDE logo to open main menu 3. in search box, type some text to search and no text will be displayed OBSERVED RESULT -Typed text is not displayed in search box, so no search at all EXPECTED RESULT -Typed text is displayed and partial results are displayed in menu as potential apps searched SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 20.10 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.19.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.74.0 Qt Version: 5.14.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -none
