When running other apps such as XV the window focus is different between kde1/2 and kde3. This problem exists in kde3.0 and kde3.0.1.

As an example start XV and right click in the window. This opens up the "xv controls" window. With all other window managers and all versions of kde before kde3 the new window would be on top with mouse and keyboard focus. With kde3.* the new window is underneath the main window although it does have keyboard focus but not mouse focus. This applies to other apps as well although xv shows it nicely.
