dmesg output that includes mounting + unmounting along with resulting IO errors

SUMMARY
Unmounting a Sansa Clip+ [1] along with its SD card via Dolphin in KDE Plasma 5.20 results in I/O errors and at times the unmounted fs needs to have fsck run on it afterwards.

Why I believe this is related to KDE Plasma and is not a hardware issue:
1. I can unmount both the device and the sd card without any issues via the umount command.
2. I can unmount both the device and the sd card without any issues through Gnome Files when running Gnome 3.38.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect a Sandisk Sansa Clip+ along with a removable micro sd card to the computer via USB.
2. Make sure one or both devices are mounted.
3. Attempt to unmount either the Clip+ or the SD card with Dolphin by right-clicking their respective entry and selecting "Safely Remove" from the context menu.

OBSERVED RESULT
Instead of unmounting properly there are I/O errors in dmesg and occasionally there is file system corruption. See the attached dmesg output for specific details.

EXPECTED RESULT
The device and its storage are properly unmounted without any errors.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This appears to be a regression, as this issue did not occur in KDE Plasma 5.19 and earlier.

The Sansa Clip+ is a portable music player that has a slot for a micro SD card, hence when it is mounted there is both the Sansa Clip+ with its 8GB of internal storage, along with the micro sd card inside of the device.
