Thanks for the report. I wonder if this is a bug that has been fixed in newer versions? I cannot reproduce the problem on KDE Neon with Kate compiled from master. I created dummy data with all rows same width... Can you please test with a newer version? Thanks for the reply. My package manager says Kate is up to date. How can I upgrade Kate? Sorry I'm not experienced with KDE development. Could you provide a newer repo that I can add to my software sources? Thank you. There are multiple ways to get a newer Kate. - Upgrade your Kubuntu to a newer version - Try one of the ways described at https://kate-editor.org/get-it/ The nightly Appimage might get you the newest version... Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Okay, so Version 20.12.1 seems to have fixed this issue. Scolling with a trackpad works perfect. So I'll wait for the next Kubuntu to come out. I downloaded the 300+ MB app image to test it. Unfortunately, upon executing the app image, all my application menu shortcuts were deleted, and all pinned applications in the task manager panel were deleted. :O It modified something to do with $(qtpaths --paths GenericConfigLocation) which emptied up all my application menus. |
