I would find it helpful if korganiser restarted the Google Calendar link on lid open (=wake up) from sleep/hibernate/suspend.

I may enter events on my Android 'phone and they do not appear when I next open my laptop for some time. Restarting the link to the Google Calendar brings the new events into korganiser immediately.

Many thanks

John

As a workaround you can configure periodic refresh in calendar properties to some small interval: right click on your Google calendar in KOrganizer -> Calendar Properties -> set refresh interval to e.g. 5 minutes (I think the default is 30 minutes).

Refreshing all PIM data after resume-from-sleep is an interesting idea, but would need to be implemented on Akonadi level so that it works for all components reliably.
