I confirm the bug in 5.77. I downgraded to 5.76 and it works fine, even I didnt rebuild the index Confirm that the downgrading works just fine. Thanks Same here. Downgrading to baloo 5.76 (from 5.77) fixes the issue. As mentioned in bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409499 Doing (on version 5.77): balooctl enable gives the following odd message: 61924499171376643 "/home/username/" renaming "username" to "" where username is my username, and baloosearch goes back to displaying empty lines and crashing.
