- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I was opening search...While oening it crashed for no perticular reason and it keep crashing as i try to open it.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Hey I got one more question. I am seeing a black bar between the panel and wallpaper on my kde desktop after a recent update. is it a design choice or some sort of bug ?

That's https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430390, which is already fixed in Frameworks 5.78 and not related to this crash.
