Description Vladimir 2020-12-04 11:37:36 UTC
Desktop freeze after resume from Screen Energy Saving.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Activate option System Settings->Power Management->Energy Saving->Screen Energy Saving (the option should be turned to on)
2. Wait when screen switch off
3. Activate the mouse to turn on the screen

OBSERVED RESULT

Screen fully freezes. Cannot control any windows. It cases not always. I can't catch when this accurate happens. It also happens with all KDE 5 old versions, maybe it issue the intel drivers, I don't know.

Remove it freeze can only switch to another console (tty2) by (CTRL+SHIFT+F2) then return to first console (CTRL+SHIFT+F1) and Desktop is unfreeze.

When the desktop freezes, then the mouse works and even changes the mouse cursor over the frozen windows in those areas where as example the text input controls should be updated by the window system. I seem freezes Windows System and do not update areas on screen, however other devises has not problem.

In journalctl I see only next messages between freeze and unfreeze:

Can you still reproduce it with some more recent Plasma version?
