Why do you need root permissions to navigate to the mounted volume? Do you have something set up to require root? Sorry for not replying earlier.

This seems to be problem with how permissions are set up on the iso.
Could you show what `ls -alh` do when you are able to navigate as root to the mounted iso directory ?
