SUMMARY
After painting on a certain 2:3 ratio image, I decided to rescale image to 1:1 ratio. After applying the operation (Scale Image to a New Size... dialog), I've noticed that the reference image had also been rescaled to a new ratio, which is clearly wrong.

I can confirm this for the Nov 13 4.4.2 alpha (git 235939b) appimage.
