Description 6zjm 2020-11-03 16:32:50 UTC
Hallo!
I use kaffeine as a vcr for dvb in a setting with two lnbs for two satellites. Unfortunately the diseqc-switch works only with older versions of kaffeine (kaffeine-1.2.2-32.2.x86_64). For this reason I installed some kde4-packages on an opensuse tumbleweed installation with all updates.
Since the update to kernel 5.9.1. some days ago this configuration doesn´t work any more. Starting the system with the former kernel 5.8.15. delivers a working old kaffeine.
lsmod shows:
ts2020, rc_tevii_nec ,  ds3000, dvb_usb_dw2102, dvb_usb, dvb_usb_dw2102,
dvb_core
I use the tevii s480 (=s660) with two tuners.

I would be really thankfull for one of the following solutions:
- kaffeine 1.2 works with kernel 5.9
- kaffeine 2 works with diseqc-switch with both tuners
- some alternative software with the same features

Looking forward to your replies.

I partly solved the problem doing this:
1. git clone git://github.com/KDE/kaffeine  && cd kaffeine && cmake . && make && src/kaffeine (2.0.18)
2. Search transponders for other networks
3. Use higher LNBf voltage
Doing this I´m able to receive many stations and switching between them is possible. But in comparison to the old kaffeine I´m still missing some stations, i.e.:
Astra 28.2E
