The package it wants is kdeconnect-dbgsym but I don't know how kcrash works that out

Yeah I figured that. Just need to figure out why the kcrash dialog can't work that out.
Comment 3 Nate Graham 2020-10-26 22:48:32 UTC
Over to kcrash then
Comment 4 Harald Sitter 2020-10-30 10:55:48 UTC
Moving back to neon. The package resolution and installation is distro dependent.

What's the actual backtrace this happens with?

Any really. I've tried searching for debug symbols for a number of things
that crashed. The first one when I reported this was for KDE Connect.

Comment 6 Harald Sitter 2020-10-30 11:25:17 UTC
I need a sample backtrace all the same. If I just SEGV my kdeconnectd the packages get correctly resolved.

Have you got a guide to doing a backtrace? Pretty new to code debug.
Comment 9 Justin Zobel 2020-11-01 01:21:54 UTC
I haven't had the kdeconnectd crash in a while so I'm resolving this for now. Will re-raise if it starts again and provide crash logs.
