1. try latest todays master that fixed the crash with switching layouts 2. in my system this is possible with no issues, there is a chance that crash comes for an applet in your sidebar 3. If the sidebar does not contain any applets that it still create a crash 4. Please send your layout file to test it out Created attachment 132738 [details]
unity-layout
I removed all widgets except pinned app's icons, still crashes.
The weird thing is, after latte restarts itself, usually the removed widget comes back. Also, various settings are also reverted (like coloring widgets that I turned off gets turned on again).
I have other issues to report but I'm gathering strengths and time to prepare reports ;P. Those won't be as easy. However, I don't think those issues are related because they exist from a long time but the said bug is some recent development, at least I think. Didn't try to change dock's positions since few months.
Interesting is, that moving dock right-left is working correctly. Only bottom position causes crash.
Panel or dock state doesn't matter either.
I'm sending the currently used layout file.
Also, in config folder I have (outside latte folder) files:
Latte Dock-appletsrc
Latte Dockrc
lattedock-appletsrc
lattedockrc
Seems odd that I havre two appletsrc. Maybe those are conflicting and causing crashes?
no idea, I don't have time these days to follow bugs that can not be reproduced in my system. Anything else will probably wait long to be fixed from future maintainers. Ah, problem solved! Pamac wasn't fetching the latest changes when Rebuild option was chosen... When I compiled the package again from Master, restarted the latte, no crash. :D Please, explain on the AUR page that the PKGBUILD should of git package should have Master instead Release, because the maintainer doesn't seem to believe me ;), Currently AUR git package isn't really git if it uses Release. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/latte-dock-git/#news One more thing. I can't see Panel/Dock option anymore :(. Is it some deliberate change or a bug? False alarm, again. Sorry. I forgot that the switch was moved from the option panel to some sidebar buttons. I wasn't noticing them. All works now. |
