SUMMARY
Some objects can be marked. They can be distinguished by the property if they represent a line or shape.
Guides are offered if they got selected.

EXPECTED RESULT
I would like to activate a specific handle then so that it can be moved by key presses (instead of using an input device like a mouse for this purpose).
How do you think about to adjust an activated handle by arrow keys (for example)?

This can already be done for Moving an entire vector shape if it is selected. In the Tool Options docker for the Move tool, there is a shortcut setup section that lets you set the move shortcut keys (cursor arrow keys) to perform a movement of a set amount.

This does not work on individual vector shape handles or path nodes.
It would be useful if that Move shortcut did work on individual handles.

Thanks for your constructive feedback.

I might be looking also for support in the direction of mouse keys.

For that you need to make a separate wish report. There is one report for one issue. And Krita currently supports left, right and middle mouse buttons, no additional ones.
