SUMMARY
I am trying the software combination “KMail 20.08.1-2.1” out (in an XFCE session).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Mark a message in the inbox.

OBSERVED RESULT
The message content is not displayed in the mail pane (besides a vertical bar).
This area is black at the moment.

EXPECTED RESULT
I would like to see the message content directly in the bottom right pane.

Another picture shows that this functionality worked in one software version.

I wonder how adjustments around startup wizard buttons fit to a questionable display in the mail view pane.

* Which classes should usually take care of the proper display in the mail pane?
* How do you think about to point any relevant source files out?
