Which version of XUbuntu and KDE Connect are you using? I'm quite sure this was fixed. Xubuntu 20.04 Note: I previously installed ubuntu, then installed xubuntu-desktop and deleted ubuntu, I will do a clean installation of xubuntu running kdeconnect-app Give me this: QQmlApplicationEngine failed to load component qrc:/qml/main.qml:93 Cannot assign object of type "DevicesModel" to property of type "QAbstractItemModel*" as the former is neither the same as the latter nor a sub-class of it. I reinstalled xubuntu 20.04, same error! I gave it a try in a Xubuntu VM and it's just like I expected. The problem was fixed but only in a later version than is shipped in 20.04. The change is small however so I can try to get it into 20.04 as well The commit that fixes it is https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-kde/-/commit/af941009526f7c9b2aa9093b57746f1e022f729b (In reply to Nicolas Fella from comment #5) > The commit that fixes it is > https://invent.kde.org/network/kdeconnect-kde/-/commit/ > af941009526f7c9b2aa9093b57746f1e022f729b ok thanks, so I have to wait xubuntu update ? I tried to build from source but I got ECM (CMAKE-extra-modules) outdated error while building.. I just released a new update with a fix. When it will be available in Xubuntu is up to the Ubuntu team now. |
