My 11.8MB png screenshot taken with spectacle is too large to attach here (3x 4k displays). I had to install Krita to export it to jpeg, you may wish to up the attachment maximum size limit on the bugtracker to 20-50MiB to adjust for larger displays. Created attachment 132215 [details]

"scaled, ke[ep aspect ratio]" (brackets presumed, as i can't see the letters) letterboxes the image, predictably. It seems that the image should either be rotated on the other displays with different aspect ratios, or three different appropriate-aspect images chosen? The first option, "Scaled an"[whatever], seems to do approximately the right thing but the image selected from the source is usually too low res for the display. I suppose that's not a bug in KDE, though. It's doing what you asked it to: "scaled" will scale the image to fit the screen by distorting its proportions. If you have any screens with radically different proportions from the source image, then "scaled" isn't a good positioning setting to use. |
