STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enable pwfeedback in /etc/sudoers
2. Try using kdesu.

Linux/KDE Plasma: Kubuntu 20.04.1
KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5

Does this happen only with kdesu, or with non-kdesu-using polkit apps? E.g. does the same thing happen if you try to update your system with Discover and enter your password in the prompt there?

As far as I'm aware, polkit works fine it only happens with apps that rely on kdesu, more specifically if you launch Kubuntu's driver manager from System Settings.

That thing should be ported to polkit. :) Running GUI apps as root is something that everyone is generally moving away from.
